    As a toning lotion for the face: Boil a handful of dried verbena leaves in 1/4 liter of water. Remove from the heat and leave the leaves to infuse. After ten minutes or so, filter the lotion through a tissue or sieve. Transfer your lotion to an amber bottle for better preservation. To use, soak a washable cotton pad in the lotion and apply directly to clean, dry skin on your face and neck.
