    Description

    Widely used today in cooking, thyme is also your ally in aromatherapy and infusions. It's a plant with many health benefits, thanks to its high content of thymol, geraniol and linalool. As an herbal tea, thyme can calm coughs, soothe sore throats and help clear the respiratory tract. It's also known for its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, making it ideal for cold and flu. As you can see, thyme tea is a must-have in winter! Thyme can also be used in your bath salts to perfume them, or in face saunas to purify your skin and help fight blackheads. The botanical minute Thyme is an aromatic plant originally from the Mediterranean basin, where it grows as a small, bushy shrub around 30cm tall. This plant is particularly fond of dry, sunny areas, which is why it can be found in so many parts of the world. It is generally harvested in late summer. There are some 350 species.

    Uses

    In herbal tea As a face sauna: Boil some water and pour it into a large bowl or salad bowl. Add a small handful of dried thyme. Cover with a clean towel. Once the temperature has dropped a little and is bearable, place your face over the bowl. Keep the towel over your head for a few minutes, to retain as much heat as possible between the bowl and your face. The thyme face sauna will purify your skin.
