

Native to North Africa and Southwestern Europe, it is part of the Cistaceae family. The lifespan of Cistus ladanifera is very short since it rarely exceeds ten years. This slow growing shrub has lovely white flowers. Appreciated for its fragrance, cistus ladanifera was already used by the Egyptians in the preparation of medicinal remedies.
