Originally from Madagascar, it also grows in China and Japan. Ravintsara is a tree that can grow up to 15 metres high. It is often found in altitude, at around 300 metres. The flowers of Ravintsara are yellow, or white tending towards green. It also produces about a hundred thousand seeds each year. These small berries look like pepper. Its leaves are used as both a remedy and a herb by the local population
