    Description

    SHIKAKAI POWDER Cleansing, softening, sheathing! An essential part of Ayurvedic tradition, Shikakai powder, rich in vegetable saponin, is traditionally used as a cleansing paste to replace shampoo. Thanks to its naturally low pH, it gently cleanses the scalp and lengths, while offering numerous benefits. Appreciated for its sheathing action, it strengthens, detangles, and restores shine to hair. So much so that it can even replace your conditioner. The botanical minute Acacia concinna is a climbing shrub common to the hot zones of central and southern India. This thorny shrub can grow up to 5 metres tall and is a member of the legume family. Its powdery fruit takes the shape of a slightly flattened pod. This species is considered invasive in New Caledonia.

PRECAUTIONS: Avoid using metal containers and utensils (other than stainless steel). It is advisable to carry out a test in the crease of the elbow or on a small area 24 hours before application to limit any reactions. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse for several minutes, keeping the eyelids open. Do not swallow. If swallowed, rinse the mouth.

    Acacia concinna leaves have an acidic taste and are sometimes used in chutneys. 'Shikakai' means 'hair fruit' in Tamil.
