Our approach to ever greener packaging

By the end of the year, all bottles will be made from recycled materials. Suppliers have been selected, and all that remains is to finalize compatibility tests between the products and their containers. The only difference for the consumer is that the bottles for vegetable oils and neutral bases will be slightly tinted.

There will be no difference for floral waters, since the bottle is already dark in color, to protect the water from light. The aim is also to switch from jars to recycled PET containers by early 2021.

At the beginning of 2021, neutral bases, with their 400 ml bottles, will be available in flexible plastic eco refills (doypack), 100% recyclable, including caps, with a saving on plastic used of around 70%.

This is an important step, since our basic products (cleansing gel, shampoo, cleansing oil, moisturizing milk, hair care mask) are used every day for personal hygiene, and have a high repurchase rate. By the end of the year, our powders will also be available in doypack format.

Glass can be recycled, but it weighs a lot, which has an impact on the carbon footprint when products are transported. Each time we launch a new product, we ask ourselves how it should be used. We prefer to use small containers, which limits the environmental impact.

Essential oils and perfume must be packaged in glass bottles to ensure their preservation. Our micas are also sold in small glass bottles.

With the exception of perfume, available in 100 ml, essential oil bottles are 10 ml and micas weigh 3 grams. For our entire catalog, the volume of glass used is therefore limited compared to plastic.

We're constantly adding new DIY ideas to our site for reusing empty packaging. All our containers are reusable, with caps that can be easily unscrewed.

For example, our 100ml vegetable oil bottles are ideal for air travel. The same goes for our wooden gift boxes, which are easy to divert once emptied of their contents.

Whatever their format - wood, cardboard or cotton pouch - they are reusable and recyclable.

The leaflet (explanatory brochure) is made from recycled paper and printed with vegetable-based ink.
