5 tips to fight maskne

What is "maskne"? It's a bit of a strange name, isn't it?

It's simply a contraction of the words "mask" and "acne." Literally. This name therefore refers to the appearance of acne-like pimples, linked to the regular wearing of a protective mask on the face. At the moment, with the mandatory wearing of masks, many people are therefore affected.

Today we give you some tips to make your maskne disappear.
Here are 5 TIPS to follow!

1- I CHANGE MY MASK REGULARLY

For hygiene and effectiveness reasons, it is recommended to change your mask every 3 to 4 hours. This also applies to fabric masks. In addition, this will prevent bacteria from entering your pores and causing pimples.

2 - IN THE MORNING I APPLY A CREAM TO MY FACE

You may not have noticed, but masks tend to rub against your skin. Even very slight friction can contribute to the appearance of pimples on your face. It can also cause unpleasant irritation.
To counteract all this, apply some moisturizer or aloe vera gel to your face.
If possible, avoid applying makeup to this area as it tends to suffocate the skin and promote the appearance of pimples.

3- AFTER A LONG DAY, I CLEANSE MY SKIN

Between pollution, sebum, and everything else, pores can become clogged. Wearing a mask can cause all of this to soak up moisture and can lead to breakouts.
You just need to use a cleansing gel or soap to clean your skin in the evening.

4- I PURIFY MY SKIN DEEPLY TO AVOID PIMPLES

Do you know about steam baths?

This is a very simple and economical technique for cleaning the skin well.

Pour hot water into a container (be careful not to burn yourself). Then, you can add 2 to 3 drops of lemon or peppermint essential oil. Finally, stand over the container, about 60 cm away, and cover your head with a cloth, towel, or tea towel.

The steam will open your pores and the essential oils will work to deeply purify your skin, ridding it of impurities.

5- I DO PREVENTION / I AVOID EXCESS SEBUM

If you have oily or acne-prone skin, you can use purifying plant oils . These will prevent overproduction of sebum and reduce the appearance of pimples. You can turn to black seed oil and neem powder for this.
