Bearberry belongs to the Ericaceae family. It is a subshrub with creeping, underground stems. Its flowers are bell-shaped, constricted at the tips, and white and pink in color. Its fruits are small, edible, red, juiceless berries. This edible wild plant is also known to treat kidney and urinary problems.
