Several weeks ago, the YouTuber 'Naturellement Lyla' suggested a recipe for a solid shampoo for greasy hair using our products. It's a simple, effective recipe that can be adapted to suit your hair's needs and desires. We've drawn inspiration from this recipe to create a special solid shampoo for hair growth.

Before starting your DIY recipes, it is important to download the recommended Hygiene Rules.

Necessary Materials

Attributes amount for 50g

  • 2 tablespoons SCI (27.2g / 54.5%)

  • 1 teaspoon hibiscus powder (2.2g / 4.5%)
    1 teaspoon hibiscus powder (2.2g / 4.5%)

    1 teaspoon hibiscus powder (2.2g / 4.5%)

  • 1 teaspoon shikakai powder (2.2g / 4.5%)

  • 1 teaspoon black cumin oil (4.5g / 4.5ml / 9.1%)

  • 1 teaspoon castor oil (4.5g / 4.5ml / 9.1%)

  • 2 teaspoons water (9g / 9ml / 18.2%)

Step-by-Step

  1. Place your bowl in a double boiler over low heat. Pour in the SCI (put a cloth or mask over your nose and mouth when handling this active ingredient, as it is highly volatile and causes coughing and sneezing).

  2. Then add the hibiscus powder and shikakai powder, mixing to obtain a homogeneous preparation with the SCI. Pour in the oils one after the other and mix. Finally, add the water and stir with a spatula.

  3. Then remove your bowl from the bain-marie. Now all you have to do is place your mixture in a silicone mould (or two small moulds). Press down well with your fingers to ensure that it conforms to the shape of the mold.

  4. Leave to stand in a dry place for 24 hours. You can then unmold your solid shampoo and use it.

How to use this product

Start by wetting your hair from the roots down. Work the solid shampoo into a lather by running it under water.
All that's left to do is gently rub it into your scalp and lengths.
You'll see that it washes very well and doesn't dry out your hair.

Just remember to keep it in a dry place.

Focus on the ingredients

SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) is a natural surfactant derived from coconut. Thanks to SCI, your solid shampoo will hold its shape and give your preparation a lather. SCI also has softening properties.

Hibiscus powder and Tiger nut oil promote hair growth and slow hair loss.

Castor oil strengthens and revitalises hair. It accelerates hair growth.

Precautions & Warnings

Avoid contact with the eyes.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use pure active ingredients. Follow recommended dosages.

Do not use black cumin oil on children under 3, or on pregnant or nursing women.
