Several weeks ago, YouTuber “Naturellement Lyla” shared a solid shampoo recipe for oily hair using our products. It’s simple, effective, and adaptable to your hair’s needs. We were inspired to create this hair-growth–boosting solid shampoo.

Cook Mode

Ingrédients

2 tablespoons of SCI (27.2g / 54.5%)
1 teaspoon of hibiscus powder (2.2g / 4.5%)
1 teaspoon of shikakai powder (2.2g / 4.5%)
1 teaspoon of nigella oil (4.5g / 4.5ml / 9.1%)
1 teaspoon of castor oil (4.5g / 4.5ml / 9.1%)
2 teaspoons of water (9g / 9ml / 18.2%)

Étapes

Place the bowl in a double boiler over low heat. Add the SCI (wear a mask or cloth over your nose and mouth when handling this powder, as it is very fine and irritating).
Stir in the hibiscus and shikakai powders until uniform, then add the oils one by one and mix. Finally, add the water and stir with the spatula.
Remove the bowl from the heat. Pack the mixture into a silicone mold (or two small molds), pressing firmly to shape.
Let it dry in a cool, dry place for 24 hours, then unmold and use your solid shampoo.

Comment utiliser la recette

Wet your hair from the roots, then lather the bar under warm water. Gently rub onto your scalp and lengths. It cleanses well without drying.

Store in a dry place.

SCI Spotlight

SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) is a coconut-derived surfactant that gives the bar its shape and foam, with mild, softening properties.

Hibiscus powder and tiger nut oil promote hair growth and reduce shedding. Castor oil strengthens and revitalizes hair, accelerating growth.

Precautions

Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use actives undiluted. Follow recommended dosages. Do not use nigella oil on children under 3 or on pregnant or nursing women.
