6 Uses for Sesame Oil

Sesame oil, better known in food, is an oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and sterols. Widely produced in India, it is widely used in Indian beauty secrets.

How to use sesame oil?

1) In restorative massage

Sesame is a medicinal plant known for its antioxidant properties. It's one of the most popular massage oils because it doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin or even on the hair. It's perfect for:

- To relieve back and neck pain: when massaged, its anti-inflammatory properties will help you relax and relieve joint pain after a long day at work.

- In the same way to repair dryness or to relax after a long day of walking or in heels by massaging the feet

- To repair elbows and knees dried out or irritated by the cold as well as external aggressions in winter massage.

- For a perfect manicure, massage into the cuticles. Sesame oil is nourishing, and thanks to its rich composition of fatty acids, it helps to have strong, smooth nails and to more easily remove cuticles and dry skin around them.

Very useful in cosmetic use

2) As a treatment for dull, dry, brittle hair

Sesame oil is one of the best oils for maintaining hydration, thanks to its richness in unsaturated fatty acids it will penetrate deep into the hair fiber to nourish it and help maintain hydration.

How to use it?

As an oil bath before shampooing. Apply sesame oil to your hair and leave it on for several hours or overnight (the longer, the better) before washing your hair with a gentle shampoo. Your hair will be nourished and protected against external aggressions.

You can apply a few drops to your lengths before creating a protective hairstyle (such as a braid) before going to sleep for an overnight treatment. You can also use it as a treatment oil in the summer to protect your dry ends.

3) As a facial treatment for mature skin.

Apply a few drops of sesame oil to your face, massaging gently from the inside out. Thanks to its sesamolin, sesamin, sesamol and sesaminol content and vitamin E, sesame oil is known and recognized for its antioxidant powers. It will help slow down the appearance of wrinkles or even reduce them. You can also complement its use with other oils such as: Hemp Oil , Apricot Oil or Rosehip Oil .

4) Serum for dry lips.

Just like for your skin, Sesame Oil is perfect for your damaged or dry lips. Apply a few drops to your lips, massaging in circular motions before going to sleep. When you wake up, your lips will be soft and nourished!

5) For a relaxing bath

For a truly relaxing experience, add a few drops of sesame oil to your bath to help you unwind. Sesame oil will nourish and soften your skin, leaving it with a glowing, radiant complexion.

6) As a body treatment to tighten skin that has lost firmness

Ideal for sagging skin, after a diet, surgery, or childbirth. Sesame oil will help firm your skin and reduce stretch marks. You can use it alone in a body massage, or incorporate it into your Moisturizing Milk Base for daily use.

As you can see, sesame oil is very beneficial for the skin. Now that you have plenty of ideas for using it, it's up to you!
