BURITI OIL
Illuminating, Nourishing and Protective!
Buriti, also known as the "tree of life," is a sacred palm tree native to the Amazon. Indigenous people use Buriti oil for sun protection. It's fabulous for maintaining a healthy glow year-round while protecting skin and hair from external aggressions. Naturally rich in carotenoids and tocopherols, Buriti oil is ideal for preparing and prolonging your tan. Thanks to its antioxidant and emollient properties, it nourishes, moisturizes, regenerates the skin, and fights against aging. Ideal for dry, dull, asphyxiated, sensitive, irritated, and mature skin. It's also perfect for revitalizing, strengthening, and restoring shine to color-treated, devitalized, dry, and/or sun-exposed hair.
The botanical minute
The Buriti, or Mauritia flexuosa, is a palm tree whose fruits are edible. It belongs to the Arecaceae family. It can be found in northern South America and in the Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon rainforest. It has yellow flowers and large leaves that form a rounded crown. The fruit, which grows from December to June, is brown in color and covered with shiny scales. Its yellow flesh covers a hard, oval nut. The Buriti can sometimes grow up to 40 meters tall.

The yellow deposit at the bottom of a bottle comes from the saturated fatty acids in the oil which solidify at room temperature (around 20°C).
This phenomenon therefore depends on conservation and does not in any way alter the quality or properties of the oil. To restore its normal appearance, simply heat it for a few minutes in a bain-marie.

The RPET (recycled PET) bottle is slightly gray compared to conventional PET. This means the transparency is slightly altered. Therefore, the color of our oils visible through the packaging will be slightly different, but it is the same product. In case of contact with eyes, rinse for several minutes while holding the eyelids apart. Do not swallow. If swallowed, rinse mouth.
