Discovered in 17th-century England, Epsom salt quickly gained popularity for its relaxing and detoxifying benefits for the skin. An ancient remedy for detoxifying the body, this salt was used for all sorts of ailments: stimulating circulation, reducing inflammation, fighting cellulite, and even water retention. Rich in minerals such as magnesium, it relaxes muscles and frees the body of toxins. Its soft, pleasant texture deeply cleanses pores and soothes pimples and acne. An ideal treatment for relaxing during a bath.

Relaxing and detoxifying bath:Pour 1 to 2 cups of Epsom salt into a warm bath (between 35°C and 42°C). Relax for at least 20 minutes in this bath. Then, rinse your body thoroughly with clean water. Finish by nourishing your body with a vegetable oil or butter. This bath will promote relaxation by helping to soothe your muscles. It will have a detoxifying effect on the body.
Foot bath:Dilute a little Epsom salt in a basin of hot water and then soak your feet in it for about ten minutes.
