Baobab leaf powder, also known as Lalo powder, has a binding power that allows for gel-like textures when mixed with water. This powder is rich in protein, calcium, and fixing polysaccharides to control frizz and define hair's natural curls. Baobab leaf powder also nourishes and maintains the moisture of dry skin and hair.
The botanical minute
The baobab tree is known worldwide for its longevity records and distinctive shape. Known as Lalo in Wolof, baobab leaf powder is used in traditional cooking as a binder in sauces. Baobab leaves are rich in amino acids and vitamins, but their ability to create a gel-like texture is what differentiates them from baobab fruit. The fruit it produces is also called monkey fruit, as many monkeys feed on the pulp of the baobab fruit.

For thehair: you can mix 10% Baobab leaf powder into your henna to make it easier to apply and rinse.
For theface: mix Lalo powder with Damask rose floral water to maintain skin softness and elasticity.
