Baobab leaf powder, also known as Lalo powder, has a binding power that allows it to create gel-like textures when mixed with water. This powder is rich in protein, calcium, and fixing polysaccharides that help control frizz and define natural curls. Baobab leaf powder also nourishes and hydrates dry skin and hair.
The botanical minute
The baobab tree is known worldwide for its remarkable longevity and distinctive shape. Known as Lalo in Wolof, baobab leaf powder is used in traditional cuisine as a thickener in sauces. Baobab leaves are rich in amino acids and vitamins, but it is primarily their ability to create a gel-like texture that distinguishes them from the baobab fruit. The fruit it produces is also called monkey fruit, as many monkeys feed on its pulp.

La poudre est super fine et de qualité mais attention le lalo est à filtrer (voir une double filtration) absolument ! Il faut laisser poser un moment pour voir le gel se former.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié la synergie d’huiles, qui nourrit bien le cuir chevelu sans alourdir les cheveux. En l’utilisant régulièrement en bain d’huile, mes cheveux sont devenus plus souples et plus brillants. Par contre, je n’ai pas du tout aimé l’embout du flacon, qui n’est pas très adapté pour l’application, un embout comme celui du serum anti chute serait TOP !
