The fragrance of the Damask rose is reminiscent of the roses once found in gardens. It is primarily cultivated for the production of essential oils. As its name suggests, the Damask rose originates from Damascus in Syria. Today, it is mainly grown in Morocco, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
Damask rose floral water is known for its soothing properties for the skin. It is also renowned for its anti-aging benefits; indeed, Damask rose floral water has an anti-wrinkle effect, improves skin elasticity, and evens out skin tone.

The botanical minute
This old rose is a natural hybrid. Damask roses are deciduous, thorny shrubs, reaching 1 to 2 meters in height. Its medium-sized, pinkish flowers grow in clusters. This shrub can grow up to 2.2 meters tall. Its stem is hairy and robust, covered with numerous curved thorns. It draws its nutrients from its long roots, which extend deep into the soil in its desert environment.
