Extracted from the magic nut of the shea tree, it is irreplaceable in West African traditions, shea oil is a concentrate of the active ingredients of shea butter. It is composed of essential fatty acids and very rich in vitamins A and E. Particularly recommended for moisturizing, nourishing, softening and toning; it softens and strengthens the skin and hair in depth. It is suitable for the whole family and is ideal for dry skin and hair.
The botanical minute
This tree can live for 200 to 300 years. It is only after 18 years that the Shea tree begins to flower. It produces fruit, the shea nuts. These are used to produce butters and oils. Shea oil is distinguished from butter by its texture. It is liquid, while butter is solid. The oil is obtained from Shea butter. It is filtered at very low temperatures to recover only the oil during fractionation. This involves the separation of the "stearin" (solid part) and the olein (liquid part) of the butter.
