5 natural tips for a glowing complexion

Glowy, glow—these are very fashionable expressions these days. Having a glowy complexion means having a radiant, luminous glow, a fresh complexion, whether naturally or artificially.

In this article we will give you some beauty tips to achieve your goal with a natural routine of course.

Tip #1: Clean your skin well

It's important to cleanse your skin daily to remove impurities left by perspiration, makeup, or pollution. If these build up on the skin and aren't removed daily, they will leave your complexion dull and your skin less smooth.

To cleanse your skin, start by removing your makeup (even if you haven't worn any). Using an oil for this step is ideal. Oils will help soften your makeup, dissolve it, and absorb all impurities. No matter your skin type, simply choose the one that works best for you.
We recommend coconut oil , jojoba oil , or cleansing oil . To remove excess oil, use a gentle cleanser. It will perfect makeup removal while leaving skin soft and supple. Choose a cleanser without sulfates.

Tip #2: Moisturize your skin

This step is essential for a glowing complexion. No matter your skin type, you shouldn't skip this step. Moisturizing your skin helps you achieve a fresher, brighter complexion and softer skin all day long.

Start by applying a serum suited to your skin type (gel, oil, bi-phase, etc.). 2 to 3 drops are enough. Simply massage it all over your face, neck, and décolleté. Finish by patting your skin with your fingertips. This will stimulate blood circulation. After the serum, apply your moisturizer, always suited to your skin type.
As for the texture, you're spoiled for choice (cream, fluid, gel, etc.). Massage it all over your face, neck, and décolleté. Give your skin only what it needs.

Tip #3: Detoxify once a week

As we mentioned in tip #1, it's important to cleanse your skin daily to rid it of impurities. Sometimes you need to go a little further to help it breathe even better. Once a week, use a facial scrub (with fine grains or an enzymatic scrub). Follow this scrub with a mask.

Choose natural clays for your masks (green, white, red, rhassoul, etc.), mixed with water or floral water and a little vegetable oil. Apply to the face and neck, avoiding the eye area, and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing. The tip for a bright and fresh complexion: Spray peppermint , damask rose , or lemon floral water on your skin after rinsing off your mask.

Tip #4: Eat foods that are good for your skin

Diet has a significant impact on the beauty of your skin. Eating too much meat, too much sugar, or too much fat can all be harmful to your skin.
The latter will present more imperfections, and the complexion will be duller. Water is the essential nutrient for luminous skin. We talked about it in step #2. It is important to hydrate your skin from the inside, enough so that it shows on the outside. The recommendation is at least 1.5 to 2 liters per day (8 glasses of water per day).

If you have trouble drinking water, you can hydrate yourself by drinking herbal teas, vegetable juices, or unsweetened fruit juices. Eat vegetables and fruits, which are rich in fiber and water. Some of them are rich in beta-carotene, like tomatoes or carrots, for a beautiful, fresh, and radiant complexion. Also consider eating a little more fish. Fish is rich in Omega 3, an outstanding antioxidant.

Tip #5: Adopt vegetable oils

Applied daily, certain vegetable oils, in addition to nourishing and retaining moisture, will reveal the natural radiance of your skin. Our favorites are carrot oil , rosehip oil or lily oil . There are many others. They can be used instead of your serum or your day or night cream. You can also add a few drops to your masks, your creams.
One of the best remedies for a dull complexion remains the sun. In addition to its beneficial effect on the skin, it also boosts your mood, and this is evident on the outside. In moderation, of course, and always with appropriate protection.

We hope these tips will help you take care of your skin and brighten it without the need for gimmicks. Well, we wouldn't say no to a little highlighter above your cheekbones. But don't forget that to have a glowing complexion, taking care of your skin is the foundation. And you, what's your anti-dull complexion routine?
