How to protect your hair from the sun?

Here are some simple and practical tips to protect your hair this summer...

We take care of our diet

To protect your hair, we eat foods that strengthen our defenses against the sun.

Eating foods rich in carotene will help the body fight the effects of UV rays on the skin. Their antioxidant properties help combat the harmful effects of UV rays.
We also turn to food supplements like WAAAAW! capsules , spirulina or even urucum . Make sure to drink water to keep your body and hair hydrated from the inside out.

We protect them before exposing ourselves to the sun

For this, nothing beats buriti oil . Considered to have protective properties in the Amazon, it is known to protect hair.
It will also nourish, make your hair shiny, and strengthen it. You can also use floral water mists to moisturize your hair and prevent dryness.

Tie up your hair

To limit hair exposure to the sun and therefore breakage, we recommend tying it up. You can braid it, put it in a ponytail, or even a bun. This will help retain moisture in your hair and prevent it from drying out too much.

Use accessories

Hats, scarves, caps and other bandanas will be your allies to protect your head, but also your hair during the summer!

Make sure to rinse your hair after swimming.

Whether it's from the chlorine in the pool or the salt in the seawater, your hair is exposed to dryness and dehydration! Therefore, be sure to rinse it with clean water as soon as you get out of the water to prevent it from becoming brittle and fragile.
Rinsing will remove chlorine and salt and therefore preserve your hair.

We perform a deep treatment every week

Oil baths help repair and protect hair deeply. Leave them on for at least 1.5 hours to nourish your hair. You can also use hair masks to strengthen your hair.
