Necessary equipment Your 400ml neutral base bottle Two or three bamboo or wooden spoons A hot glue gun (optional) A cutter A marker String Bird seeds Precautions Before you start, remember to protect your work area well to avoid leaving glue marks or damaging your table. Remember to clean your empty pot or container thoroughly before you begin. The stages of the realization 1 - Start by washing your empty bottle thoroughly, remove the label (if you have difficulty removing it, do not hesitate to leave the container to soak in warm water or use nail polish remover to remove the last traces of glue). 2 - Before you start cutting with the cutter, use a marker to make marks on one side and the other of the bottle. The goal is for the spoon, which you will insert into the slots, to cross the bottle horizontally. You can put as many spoons as you want but make sure to leave space for the birds to land if you want to have a chance of seeing them ;) 3 - Once the marks are made, create your slit in the bottle using your cutter. 4 - Insert the bamboo spoons into the slots made. 5 - To keep the spoons in place, if your slits are a little too wide, you can put a dot of hot glue on the slit. Be careful, you can only do this on the handle side of the spoon. Indeed, the seeds must be able to flow out on the other side of the spoon. 6 - Once all the spoons are in place, fill your bottle with birdseed. 7 - All you have to do is hang it on a branch in your garden or on your balcony. To do this, a piece of string tightly tied around the cap will suffice. Your bird feeder is ready! Wait a few hours for the birds to find their new feeding place; once they're used to it, they'll love it.
