OUR SUPPLIERS Their selection is essential to guarantee the impeccable quality of our products. Some are French and all must meet a certain number of criteria: - They must be respectful towards their employees - They must not exploit children or animals - They must guarantee a minimum wage and acceptable working conditions. - They must also respect the environment, not contribute to the deforestation of their supply areas and not engage in wild harvesting. To guarantee the premium quality of our raw materials, our suppliers do not use any intermediaries. Some of our products are Fair Trade, such as our Shea butter , for which we work directly with a cooperative association in Mali. THE CHOICE OF OUR RAW MATERIALS At WAAM, the active ingredients are of natural origin (petrochemical derivatives are banned) and overall, everything comes from organic farming. We do, however, have a few exceptions, either because the ingredients cannot be certified organic or the cost of certification is too high for our suppliers. The water and preservative contained in our floral waters are also not certified organic, representing approximately 1% of the formula. They are therefore 99% organic. As for clay, we sell four different varieties, sourced from the Mediterranean Basin. Only rhassoul comes from Morocco, its native land. All are completely pure, non-ionized, and contain neither gelatin nor GMOs. The drying process used respects the product's quality. THE QUALITY OF OUR PROCESSED PRODUCTS Our 9 neutral bases, the most elaborate references in our catalog, are formulated from raw materials from organic farming. Their composition is minimalist, we only find the bare essentials. The cleansing oil base , for example, is made up of only 4 ingredients: sweet almond and sunflower oils, an emulsifier and vitamin E (tocopherol).
