Description

Gentle soap

100% natural oils - Cold-saponified, 7% superfatted

A gentle soap for moms and babies!

Created from a moisturising blend of Coconut oil, Calendula oil, and Shea Butter, our gentle soap is cold-saponified. It soothes and protects the skin while ensuring gentle cleansing.

Its 7% calendula oil superfatting guarantees non-dry skin after cleansing and preserves all the properties of this plant.

Indeed, the key ingredient in this soap is calendula oil. This oil is renowned for its soothing and regenerating properties on babies' sensitive, fragile skin.

What's more, the allergen-free composition of this soap makes it ideal for the whole family: children, pregnant and nursing women, everyone can enjoy it!

What is cold saponification?

Saponification is a chemical reaction between two elements: A fatty substance (the oil and butter making up soap) and an alkali (lye). During this process, the oil and lye disappear to form soap and glycerin. The chemical reaction only stops when one of the two components is exhausted.

Superfatted soap is soap produced by a saponification process in which the lye is used up first. Cold saponification is a slow process that preserves all the properties of the soap's natural ingredients.

What is superfatting?

Now that you know what saponification is, it's easy to understand what superfatting is. It's the proportion of oil that is not saponified, and therefore remains in the soap as oil. It's this superfatting that brings softness and nutrition to the skin. So there's no feeling of tightness or dry skin after using the soap.
