Also known as 'Barbados', Aloe Vera is an ingredient with a thousand benefits. Used since antiquity by healers and in traditional medicines the world over, it is credited with numerous cosmetic virtues.
Our Aloe Vera gel is 97.15% organic and Ecocert-certified. Non-greasy and non-sticky, you can use it on its own, applied directly to your skin, or in a wide range of easy homemade skincare recipes.
Aloe Vera gel is known for moisturising* the skin, but is also particularly appreciated for its calming and soothing action.
For example, it can be used to relieve heavy legs in summer, tired feet, redness or irritation on the face, and much more... It is multi-purpose and ideal for dry or fragile skin, which it protects from external aggression by creating a protective film on the skin.
It can also be used for hair care, as it retains moisture and helps define and refresh curls.
The botanical minute
Aloe Vera has been cultivated for many years in the Mediterranean region and in warm climates such as Africa, India, South America, and Asia, and is now widely used as a houseplant. Its leaves, measuring between 40 and 50cm, are thick and enable it to store the 95% of water it contains. A single leaf can weigh up to 2 kilograms.
