The desert date palm is a plant that grows in semi-arid areas. The fruit of the tree produces seeds surrounded by fibres. These seeds are cold-pressed to obtain the precious oil. Characterized by its dry, silky feel, Desert Date oil is appreciated for nourishing skin and hair without an over-greasy effect. Its concentration of active ingredients such as omega 6 and 9, as well as vitamins E and A, makes it an excellent oil for nourishing and regenerating the skin while protecting it at the same time.
The botanical minute
As its name suggests, the Desert Date Tree can grow in arid environments. Its fruit resembles small dates and is edible. Very widespread in the Sahel, it has long been used for both nutritional and therapeutic purposes.
