CANDELILLA WAX
Protective, Emollient, Texturizing!
Candelilla wax is a plant wax with protective and film-forming properties, making it ideal for creating rich, protective skincare products. It is ideal for making lip balms and sticks, solid deodorants, body balms, and hair care products.
With a high melting point of around 70°C, Candelilla wax has a fairly hard, brittle texture. This makes it ideal for use in makeup and crayons, for example.
Candelilla wax also adds shine, making it an indispensable ingredient in lipsticks.
The botanical minute
Obtained from a small shrub native to Mexico, Candelilla vegetable wax is secreted by the tree's leaves to protect it from external aggression and prevent water evaporation in often very dry areas.
