    The botanical minute

    Native to North Africa and Southwest Europe, it belongs to the Cistaceae family. Cistus ladanifera has a very short lifespan, rarely exceeding ten years. This slow-growing shrub is adorned with lovely white flowers. Appreciated for its fragrance, ladaniferous rockrose was already used by the Egyptians in the preparation of medicinal remedies.
