    RITHA POWDER

    Purifying, cleansing, antioxidant!

    Native to India, Ritha nuts are known as 'washing nuts' due to their high saponin content.

    For this reason, the powder from these nuts is traditionally appreciated for cleansing and caring for hair. It is also widely used in the preparation of liquid soaps and vegetable detergents.

    Ritha powder is recommended for its anti-dandruff and scalp-cleansing properties and will be perfect in your no-poo shampoo preparations.

    The botanical minute

    The ritha tree, about ten metres high, can grow in areas up to 1,200 metres above sea level and can produce 30 to 35 kilos of fruit a year. Its small, inedible fruits are known as 'soap nuts'. The tree itself is nicknamed the 'Indian Soap Tree'.

    Product composition

    INCI: Sapindus Mukorossi fruit powder.

    Names: Reetha, aritha, washing nutrition:

    Origin: India.

    Part used: Nuts.

    Production process: Dried and ground nuts.

    Solubility: Insoluble in water and oil.

    Colour: Light brown.

    STORAGE: Protect from heat, light, and humidity. Close container tightly after use.

    PRECAUTIONS: Avoid using metal containers and utensils (other than stainless steel).

    It is advisable to carry out a test in the crease of the elbow or on a small area 24 hours before application to limit any reactions.

    Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse for several minutes, keeping the eyelids open. Do not swallow. If swallowed, rinse the mouth.

    Did you know?

    Ritha powder can also be used to wash dishes. The shells of the Ritha nut are also appreciated as 'washing nuts' when washing clothes. They are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
