5 natural tips for a glowy complexion
A glowy complexion is very much in vogue these days. To have a glowy complexion is to have a radiant, luminous, fresh complexion, naturally or with the help of artifice.
In this article, we'll give you some beauty tips to help you achieve your goal, with a natural routine of course.
Tip 1: Cleanse your skin thoroughly
It's important to cleanse your skin every day to remove impurities left behind by perspiration, make-up and pollution. If these impurities are not removed every day, they can lead to a dull complexion and less smooth skin.
To cleanse your skin, start by removing make-up (even if you haven't worn any). Using an oil for this step is ideal. Oils will help soften make-up, dissolve it and absorb any impurities. Whatever your skin type, simply choose the one that suits you best.
We recommend coconut oil, jojoba oil orcleansing oil. To remove excess oil, use a gentle cleanser. It will perfect make-up removal while leaving the skin soft and supple. Choose a sulfate-free cleanser.
Tip n°2: Moisturize your skin
This step is essential for a glowing complexion. Whatever your skin type, you must not skip this step. Moisturizing your skin gives you a fresher, brighter complexion and soft skin all day long.
Start by applying a serum suited to your skin type (gel, oil, two-phase, etc.). 2 to 3 drops are all you need. Simply massage the serum all over your face, neck and décolleté. Finish by tapping your skin with your fingertips. This will stimulate blood circulation. After the serum, apply your moisturizer, always adapted to your skin type.
You're spoilt for choice when it comes to texture (cream, fluid, gel, etc.). Massage it all over your face, neck and décolleté. Give your skin only what it needs.
Tip 3: Detox once a week
As we said in Tip #1, it's important to cleanse your skin every day to rid it of impurities. Sometimes, however, it's necessary to go a step further to help your skin breathe even better. Once a week, apply a facial scrub (fine-grain or enzymatic). Follow this with a mask.
Prefer natural clays for your masks (green, white, red, rhassoul...), mixed with water or floral water and a little vegetable oil. Apply to face and neck, avoiding the eye area, and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing. For a fresh, luminous complexion: spraypeppermint, Damask rose or lemonfloral water over your skin after rinsing off your mask.
Tip 4: Eat foods that are good for the skin
Diet has a significant influence on skin beauty. Eating too much meat, too much sugar or too much fat can show up on your skin.
You'll see more imperfections and a duller complexion. Water is essential for radiant skin. We talked about this in Step 2. It's important to moisturize your skin from the inside out, so that it shows on the outside. The recommendation is at least 1.5 to 2 liters a day (8 glasses of water a day).
If you find it difficult to drink water, you can hydrate yourself with infusions, vegetable juices or fruit juices with no added sugar. Eat vegetables and fruit, which are rich in fiber and water. Some, like tomatoes and carrots, are rich in betacarotene, for a fresh, luminous complexion. Eat a little more fish too. These are rich in Omega 3, an outstanding antioxidant.
Tip n°5: Adopt plant oils
Applied daily, certain plant oils not only nourish and retain moisture, but also reveal your skin's natural radiance. Our favorites arecarrot oil, rosehip oil andlily oil. There are many others. They can be used in place of your day or night serum or cream. You can also add a few drops to your masks or creams.
One of the best anti-dull complexion remedies is the sun. As well as acting on the skin, it lifts the spirits and shows on the outside. In moderation, of course, and always with appropriate protection.
We hope these few tips will help you take care of your skin and brighten it up without the need for artifice. Of course, we don't say no to a little highlighter above the cheekbones. But don't forget that taking care of your skin is the basis for a glowy complexion. What's your anti-dull complexion routine?
