How to use floral waters
A care product in their own right, floral waters have so much to offer. If you're still wondering how to use them, the following should answer all your questions.
What is floral water?
Floral waters are obtained by steam distillation of flowers or plants, on the same principle as the extraction of essential oils. Floral waters are naturally enriched with essential oils (traces).
They should not be confused with hydrolats. The latter are residues obtained during the manufacture of essential oils
Floral waters are products in their own right.
The quantity of flowers used to make 100kg of floral water will determine the product's degree of concentration. If, for example, your floral water is 1% concentrated, this means that 1kg of dried flowers was used.
Why use floral waters?
Floral waters are mainly used in aromatherapy and cosmetics. They are a natural part of skin and hair care routines.
They provide hydration thanks to the water they contain, and depending on the virtues of the plants and flowers used, floral waters can provide many other benefits. Anti-aging, purifying, soothing, regulating, softening, healthy glow... so many virtues offered by nature.
And for your hair, they'll moisturize, tone the scalp, fight dandruff..
If you don't feel comfortable using essential oils, you can turn to floral waters. Mind you, they won't be able to replace them in terms of effectiveness, but since floral waters contain a little essential oil, you'll be able to enjoy a minimum of their benefits.
