Pot cover or storage pot in natural rope

Newspaper

Make a pot cover for your small plants or a storage pot from your empty pot.

Materials required

  • 1 empty jar
  • Rope (we've chosen natural jute cord, but you're free to choose another type of rope or even raffia)
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 hot glue gun

Precautions

  • Before you start, remember to protect your work area so as not to leave glue marks or damage your table.
  • Remember to clean your empty jar or container before you start.

Stages of production

1 - Apply a dot of hot glue to the end of your rope to secure it to your pot.

2 - Wrap the rope gradually around the pot, adding a dot of glue in places to hold it in place.

3 - Continue until your pot is completely covered.

4 - Cut the rope, and don't forget to use glue to hold the rope in place.

WAAM tips

You can then, if you wish, make pompons from the same rope to suit your tastes.
You can also use this decorative tip to transform your oil bottles into a pretty soliflore, for example.
