HOW DID THE PEAU-NEUVE BLOG COME ABOUT?
In the beginning, I used to make homemade skincare products and masks with my girlfriends. I was applying grandmotherly tricks.
My friends thought it was great and encouraged me to start my own blog on the subject. In the end, I started out on Instagram, sharing recipes and later creating my blog.
I offered skincare only, hence the name "skin-new".
It's all about making skin new by cleansing the skin with anti-acne skincare, for sensitive skin etc
YOUR FIRST BEAUTY GESTURES IN THE MORNING?
My beauty routine is very minimalist.
I always use a floral water and a vegetable oil. These products enable me to follow the two essential steps of moisturizing (thanks to the floral water, which refreshes the skin) and nourishing (thanks to the vegetable oil, which deeply nourishes the skin).
For toothpaste, I often use "siwak", a piece of branch from the tree with cleansing properties.
Drinking at least 1L of water a day is also one of my first beauty gestures!
THE VEGETABLE OIL YOU ALWAYS HAVE IN YOUR CUPBOARDS?
IF YOU FOUND YOURSELF ALONE ON A DESERT ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE BEAUTY PRODUCT WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Floral water and vegetable oil are really two essential products for me. Essential oils too.
It's impossible to choose... So I'd say a two-phase treatment with an essential oil!
It's an all-in-one product.
WHAT'S YOUR HAIR ROUTINE LIKE?
I wash my hair once or twice a week. I use a shampoo, conditioner and detangler.
once or twice a month, I also do a treatment before my shampoo: the oil bath. Then, I take a generous amount of hair care base and apply it to all my hair: roots, lengths and ends. I leave it on for at least 1 hour, sometimes longer, then go to the shower and rinse my hair. I finish off with my shampoo and conditioner.
This routine is suitable for straight (like mine) to wavy hair, but you can also adapt it to curly, frizzy or frizzy hair. All you need to do is apply the hair care mask base after shampooing.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR COLLABORATION WITH WAAM COSMETICS: THE WAAAAW! COLLECTION?
I've known WAAM since its inception. I was one of the first bloggers to work with the brand. I met its founder at the "Who's next" event and we fell in love!
We have a very constructive relationship. I've learned a lot working with WAAM and vice versa.
It's more than just a partnership between a blogger and a brand!
HOW DO YOU RECYCLE YOUR FINISHED PRODUCTS?
When I finish a product, I recycle it too!
For example, I reuse the bottles to make my recipes and store them there.
A TIP?
Buy my book! On a more serious note, I think you need to start gradually. You can replace your products with more natural alternatives.
You'll also need to be patient. When you make the transition to natural skincare, there's often what's known as the "rebound effect". The skin will purge itself of the various impurities and toxins linked to previous routines.
It therefore needs time to adapt. In the long term, however, the effects of natural products are clearly visible, so it's well worth the effort.
1 GREEN THING YOU CAN DO ON A DAILY BASIS TO BE A LITTLE MORE ECOLOGICAL?
Reducing your consumption helps you avoid excess, and that's already being environmentally friendly! Before changing all your products for natural ones, I think it's better to reduce your consumption and replace them little by little.
This applies just as much to clothes as to other products often bought on impulse. Going to the stores less often therefore helps to reduce your ecological footprint.
Of course, this change depends on the individual's pace of consumption and willpower.
