    Description

    The Ylang-Ylang flower is particularly well-known for its fragrance. It is used as an intellectual and sexual stimulant, but also to calm states of stress and agitation. Ylang-Ylang is also known for its beneficial action on the hair, which it strengthens and beautifies.

    The botanical minute

    The name Ylang-Ylang means 'flower of flowers'. This tropical tree is of Asian origin. It belongs to the Annonaceae family and can grow up to 30m tall in the wild. The exotic scent of ylang-ylang flowers is regularly used in perfumery.

    Essential oils should be used with caution. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use undiluted. Do not use on children, pregnant or nursing women, or people sensitive to essential oils. Consult a health care practitioner if you are taking medication or for any other use. Oil with allergenic potential, test in the crease of the elbow 48 hours before use.
