Caring for sensitive skin

Tips and tricks

Sensitive skin requires specially adapted, gentle care. Fortunately, brands have understood that sensitive skin has specific needs, and today they offer a wide range of products that are accessible to all.
Here are a few tips for a simple, gentle routine.

What is sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin is skin that is highly reactive. It reddens easily and is prone to pimples. Some sensitive skins are dry and dehydrate very quickly. There are many reasons for this hypersensitivity, often linked to the composition of the products used (presence of perfume...) and the environment (pollution, hard water...).

An adapted daily routine

The aim when caring for sensitive skin is tosoothe itand avoid making it more reactive by using overly aggressive skin care products. Choose hypoallergenic skin care products to minimize the risk of allergies.

To begin with, you need to cleanse your skin gently. Choose cleansers without sulfates, parabens or fragrances. Sulfate-free cleansing gel is ideal for these skin types. If your skin is very dry, acleansing oil is more suitable. It will cleanse your skin while nourishing it, thanks to its composition based on sweet almond oil.

After washing, you can tone your skin while providing the softness it needs.Chamomile floral water is recommended. Its soothing properties calm sensitive skin.

Sensitive skin needs hydration and nutrition. Use only gentle, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free skin care products. You can use vegetable oils, which are highly effective.Argan oil oravocado oil are ideal.

To remove make-up, you can use conventional make-up removers, as long as they are suitable for sensitive skin. Otherwise, cleansing oil is recommended, as it is gentler and more nourishing.

Before going to bed, moisturize and nourish your skin. As for day care, argan oil or avocado oil are ideal. They will soothe, nourish and beautify your skin.

Weekly skin care

If you have sensitive skin, you need to be careful about the scrubs and masks you use. For scrubs, choose those with very fine grains. There are even enzymatic scrubs that are grain-free.

For masks, choose those that will moisturize and soothe your skin.White clay andred clay are ideal for sensitive, reactive skin. Simply add floral water and vegetable oil.

Things to remember

Choose hypoallergenic skin care products. Make sure they are fragrance-free. If you can avoid rinsing your face with tap water, do so. Replace it with spring water, which is much softer and less calcareous.

You can use scrubs and masks, but remember that they must be adapted to your skin type. Gentleness is essential.
