Our vegetable Charcoal Powder is derived from the branches and roots of bamboo. Bamboo occurs naturally on every continent except Europe and Antarctica. Bamboo's distinctive feature is its easily recognizable stalks, which can measure up to 30 metres. Their growth rate can be spectacular, with stalks gaining up to 1 metre a day.
What is charcoal activation?
The bamboo activation stage increases the absorbency of the charcoal powder by releasing the cavities filled with tar during the carbonization process. The absorbent properties of charcoal are multiplied by 10 in the case of activated charcoal.
