White teeth and fresh breath with healthy ingredients? It's so easy! Make your own teeth-whitening powder with white clay, vegetable charcoal, calcium carbonate and essential oils.

Before starting your DIY recipes, it is important to download the recommended Hygiene Rules.

Attributes amount 50g

  • 2 tablespoons white clay (26.25g / 52.5%)

  • ½ teaspoon vegetable charcoal (1.75g / 3.5%)

  • 4 teaspoons calcium carbonate (20g / 40%)

  • 15 drops ginger essential oil (0.5g / 1%)

  • 45 drops peppermint essential oil (1.5g / 3%)

Step-by-Step

  1. Weigh and mix the white clay, charcoal and calcium carbonate.

  2. Gradually add the ginger and peppermint essential oils to the mixture, stirring vigorously.

  3. Transfer tooth-whitening powder into a clean container.

  4. The homemade teeth-whitening recipe is now complete.

How to use this product

After brushing, apply a small amount of whitening powder to your toothbrush and brush your teeth. Rinse your mouth with clear water. You can use your tooth-whitening powder recipe once or twice a week.

A closer look at the ingredients

White clay is a gentle abrasive. It neutralizes acidity and is purifying.

Vegetable charcoal detoxifies, purifies, neutralises bad breath and whitens enamel.

Calcium carbonate is a gentle abrasive that whitens enamel.

Ginger essential oil is anti-bacterial and it fights gum problems.

Peppermint essential oil gives a fresh, purified breath.

Precautions & Warnings

Do not swallow.

Use essential oils with caution. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use undiluted. Do not use on children, pregnant or nursing women, or people sensitive to essential oils. Consult a health care practitioner if you are taking medication or for any other use. Test in the crook of the elbow 48 hours before use. Some essential oils are photosensitising: Avoid going out in the sun after applying a product containing these essential oils.
