At the oral level, Neem powder is renowned for its anti-bacterial action. For this, it is often found in DIY recipes for toothpaste. Neem is also known for its repellency, against insects, and anti-parasite in particular thanks to the presence of azadirachtin.
Also suitable for internal use, Neem powder has interesting traditional virtues. It has beneficial effects on joint pain and the immune system and promote digestion.

Native to India, Neem or Margoussier leaves have a very bitter taste, they are consumed in the Ayurvedic tradition in order to "purify the blood ". The seeds of cold pressed Margoussier are the origin of Neem oil.
