Purifying, detoxifying!
Used in the Ayurvedic tradition, Neem powder is excellent for helping to purify and detoxify the skin. It is particularly suitable for oily and blemished skin, especially acne-prone skin.
Its purifying power also helps maintain a healthy scalp and soothe it, preventing dandruff and itching.
In the mouth, Neem powder is renowned for its anti-bacterial action. For this reason, it is often used in DIY toothpaste recipes. Neem is also known for its insect-repellent and anti-parasitic properties, thanks in particular to the presence of azadirachtin.
In many sub-Saharan African countries, where it is also present, Neem leaves infusions are traditionally used to fight the symptoms of malaria.

Native to India, Neem or Margoussier leaves have a very bitter taste, and are consumed in the Ayurvedic tradition to 'purify the blood'. Cold-pressed Margoussier seeds are the source of Neem oil.
