Discover our recipe for a purifying face mask with rhassoul, also known as ghassoul.
Why use rhassoul? Rhassoul (or ghassoul) is a beauty ritual essential. Its benefits have been recognised and used for thousands of years to gently cleanse the skin.

This clay gently purifies the skin, tightens facial pores, eliminates impurities and absorbs and regulates excess sebum.

Before starting your DIY recipes, it is important to download the recommended Hygiene Rules.

Step-by-Step

  1. Pour the rhassoul into your bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the Tea Tree essential oil with the Argan oil.

  3. Add the mixture to your rhassoul.

  4. Add mineral water until you obtain a good mask texture that's easy to apply to the face.

  5. Leave on your face for 30 minutes.

  6. Rinse and follow with your usual moisturizer. Before rinsing, you can emulsify the rhassoul on your face by simply wetting your hands and gently rubbing your skin. The mask will foam, but less than a conventional cleanser.

How to use this product

Rhassoul is used in the form of a mask. When applying, we recommend you use small circular movements and leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off. Be careful not to let the mask dry on your skin.

If you wish, simply add mineral water to the powder to obtain the texture of a mask. You can also add floral water, vegetable oil and essential oils to suit your skin's needs (ex: Argan oil if you have dry skin, tea tree oil to deeply purify your skin...).

For which skin types?

Rhassoul can be used on all skin types, but it's ideal for oily skin. It absorbs excess sebum while deeply cleansing the skin and ridding it of blackheads. Skin is immediately softer and purified.
As rhassoul is a gentle natural cleanser, it can also be used on acne-prone skin.

Focus on rhassoul

Rhassoul acts as a blotting paper for the skin. It purifies and tightens facial pores.
It has a great capacity to absorb water. It can also absorb sebum from the skin for example (ideal for oily skin and greasy hair).
But that's not all: In addition to being absorbent, it's also adsorbent! Rhassoul therefore 'catches' and 'eliminates' impurities. Rhassoul's high mineral content has beneficial properties for skin and hair.
Last but not least, Rhassoul contains no surfactants, enabling gentle yet effective cleansing. It represents an entirely natural, ecological and healthy alternative for washing skin and hair.

Do not use undiluted. Do not use on children, pregnant or nursing women, or people sensitive to essential oils.
