Exfoliating your skin is an essential beauty step to help it regenerate faster. It also removes impurities.

Why not make your own solid exfoliating bar? Easy to store and use, it will leave your skin as soft as a baby's skin.
Bonus: It is pleasantly scented with Niaouli essential oil.

Necessary Materials

Attributes amount for 50g

  • 1 tablespoon SLMI (7.4g / 14.8%)

  • 1 teaspoon demineralized water (2.5g / 2.5 ml / 5%)

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa butter (15g / 30%)

  • 2 tablespoons tulsi powder (10g / 20%)

  • 2 tablespoons epsom salt (15g / 30%)

  • 3 drops Niaouli essential oil (0.10g / 0.2%)

Step-by-Step

  1. Weigh and melt the SLMI with demineralized water in a water bath. This may take some time.

  2. Add the cocoa butter.

  3. When the mixture is homogeneous, remove from the bain-marie and add the cold tulsi powder, epsom salt and niaouli essential oil.

  4. Pour the mixture into a mould and leave in the fridge for 24 hours.

  5. Turn out. Your 70gr recipe is finished!

Focus on the ingredients

Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate (SLMI) is a very mild, sulphate-free surfactant that creates a creamy lather and a pleasant sensation on the skin. Derived from coconuts, it is environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

Cocoa butter is a multifunctional daily care product! It is often used as a lip balm to treat or prevent chapped lips, or by pregnant women for its action on skin suppleness to prevent stretch marks and cellulite.

Epsom salt detoxifies and deeply cleanses the skin's pores.

Tulsi powder is detoxifying

Use essential oils with care. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use pure essential oils or active ingredients. Follow dosage instructions. Do not use on children, pregnant or nursing women, or people sensitive to essential oils. Consult a health care professional in the event of medical treatment or for any other use. Test in the crook of the elbow 48 hours before use. Some essential oils are photosensitising: Avoid going out in the sun after applying a product containing these essential oils.
