How can I protect my hair from the sun?

A healthy diet

To protect our hair, we eat foods that strengthen our defenses against the sun.

Foods rich in carotene help the body fight the effects of UV rays on the skin. Their antioxidant power helps combat the harmful effects of UV rays.
We also turn to food supplements such as WAAAAW! capsules, spirulina and urucum. Make sure you drink plenty of water to keep your body and hair hydrated from the inside out.

Protect them before exposure to the sun

There's nothing better thanburiti oil. Considered to have protective properties in the Amazon, it is known to protect hair.
It will also nourish it, make it shiny and fortify it. You can also use floral water mists to moisturize your hair and prevent dryness.

Tying up your hair

To limit sun exposure and hair breakage, we recommend tying your hair up. You can braid your hair, put it in a ponytail or bun. This will make it easier to retain the hair's moisture and prevent it from drying out too much.

Use accessories

Hats, scarves, caps and bandanas will be your allies in protecting both your head and your hair during the summer!

Rinse hair after swimming

Whether it's the chlorine in the pool or the salt in seawater, your hair is exposed to dryness and dehydration! So be sure to rinse your hair with clear water as soon as you get out of the water, to prevent it from becoming brittle and fragile.
Rinsing will remove the chlorine and salt, and so preserve your hair.

Deep conditioning every week

An oil bath helps repair and protect hair deep down. Leave in for at least 1h30 to nourish hair. You can also use hair masks to strengthen your hair.
