Description

RAW SHEA BUTTER

Nourishes, protects and regenerates!

A true Swiss Army knife, this butter has countless virtues. Highly recommended, it's good for everything and everyone.

We love it!

Extracted pure from the magical nut of the shea tree, this butter, irreplaceable in African traditions, is particularly recommended for moisturising, nourishing, softening, and revitalizing skin and hair naturally. It is therefore often used in beauty treatments, thanks to its many benefits.

Packed with essential fatty acids and rich in vitamins A, D, E, and F, it lives up to its name of magic balm.

The botanical minute

The average shea tree produces 10 to 20kg of fresh fruit per year. However, it takes 15 years for the tree to bear its first nuts (fruit), from which the kernels needed to make shea butter are extracted. It's only between 50 and 100 years of existence that the harvest becomes fruitful.

Shea butter is made using traditional know-how developed exclusively by women. Legend has it that if men were to harvest the nuts, it would render the shea tree infertile.

Product Quality

Particular care is taken to ensure the quality of the ingredients we select. Made from nuts harvested in Mali, our raw shea and yuzu butter is the fruit of the work of a cooperative gathering over a thousand women from 35 villages, who are committed to the survival of their ancestral trade. Certified fair trade by the Fairtrade Labeling Organization (FLO), the cooperative's primary mission is to improve the living conditions of its members through the harmonious exploitation of natural resources, chiefly shea butter. Our pure shea butter comes from Burkina-Faso. Our butter is packaged in France. Their packaging is designed to limit the impact on the environment. For this reason, we have chosen not to use over-packaging or any superfluous packaging accessories.
