Here's a recipe for a nourishing solid shampoo. Solid shampoo is very economical and zero-waste. A single bar can be used to make many shampoos.

Before starting your DIY recipes, it is important to download the recommended Hygiene Rules.

Step-by-Step

  1. Place your bowl in a double boiler over low heat. Pour in the SCI (put a cloth or mask over your nose and mouth when handling this active ingredient, as it is highly volatile and causes coughing and sneezing).

  2. Then add the baobab leaf powder and ritha powder, mixing to obtain a homogeneous preparation with the SCI. Pour in the oils one after the other and stir. Finally, add the water and stir with a whisk.

  3. You should obtain a homogeneous paste that does not stick to your fingers.

  4. Now all you have to do is place your mixture in a silicone mould (or two small moulds). Press it down well with your fingers so that it conforms to the shape of the mold.

  5. Leave to stand in a dry place for 24 hours. You can then unmold your solid shampoo and use it.

How to use this product

Wet the solid shampoo and work it into a lather between your hands, then apply it to wet hair. Finish by rinsing.

Focus on the nourishing solid shampoo ingredients:

Baobab leaf powder, also known as Lalo powder, is rich in proteins, calcium, and polysaccharides. It nourishes and maintains hair hydration. Its sheathing power is very interesting. You can apply it to all hair types, especially curly and frizzy hair. It facilitates detangling without weighing hair down.

SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) is a natural surfactant derived from coconut. Thanks to SCI, your solid shampoo will hold its shape and give your preparation a lather. SCI also has softening properties.

Organic flaxseed oil is rich in Omega 3 and 6, as well as vitamins A, B, E, and K. It nourishes and softens hair. It restores strength and density to fine hair.

Yellow nutsedge oil deeply nourishes the hair fibre, restoring shine and suppleness.

Precautions & Warnings

Dry skin cream

To stay firm and toned, our skin needs to be moisturised, nourished and sometimes protected. Vegetable oils are ideal for meeting these needs and helping to preserve the skin. To care for your skin, we suggest you personalise our milk base with two nourishing oils: Calendula oil and hibiscus oil. This cream is particularly suitable for dry, sensitive and mature skin that needs to be treated gently. It can be applied to the face, body, and hands.
