To care for, nourish, moisturise, and reshape curly hair, there's no need for products with complicated compositions. Here's a simple balm recipe that should please you if you have curly hair.

Attributes amount per 100g

  • 4 tablespoons yuzu shea butter (61.5g / 61.5%)

  • 3 teaspoons hibiscus oil (15.5g/15.5%/15.5ml)

  • 3 teaspoons broccoli oil (16g/16ml/16%)

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin (6g/6%/6ml)

Step-by-Step

  1. Pour the shea butter into the bowl. Add broccoli oil and hibiscus oil.

  2. Whisk to soften the shea butter and incorporate the vegetable oils. Finish by adding the vegetable glycerin and mix one last time.

  3. If your balm isn't homogeneous, you can heat it in the microwave for 10 seconds, then stir vigorously while it cools.

  4. Transfer your balm into a jar with a lid.

  5. The curl balm is ready.

How to use this product

This homemade hair balm is ideal for people with curly hair who are looking for a natural solution to redefine their curls. You can use it on wet or dry hair, head down. You'll add bounce to your curls by squeezing them in your hands and releasing them. You can also use a diffuser on a blow-dryer set on cold, still head down. The balm can also be used on curly and frizzy hair.
